Not Easy These Days

I've been brooding over pages,

talking with the dead,

words of the sages

are living in my head.

So much is different,

so much is the same.

There are many conflicts

over symbol and name.

I've been trying to make my way

down these many streets,

through the black and white and gray,

but it's not easy...

not easy these days.
